Thanks I'll need to investigate demand charges here in Ontario.

Learn something new every day.. prevents one from withering away :))

So intuitively a government. concerned about greeness .. would step in and assign different Demand charges based on biz use of same power.. in some fashion.. incentives etc..

The idea I see on Time of Use is to balance the system load.. not too applicable to places offering charging service.. You cannot pick and choose the same way .. when to charge....

I wonder if they could rapid charge clients from battery.. and recharge their own batteries off peak... Like a nightly refill of a gas reservoir at a filling station...considering the infrastructure is much simpler logistics wise than refilling gasoline reservoirs

When the heck are those ultra capacitors coming... Get on it science...
