"basic simple floor" i think much of the world still has no running water and even dirt floor so the basic simple floor in the US is pretty good. many poor people have multiple video game and communication devices and monthly subscriptions. can come to the ER and be treated for free. the homeless are another story, but strangely even the "altruistic"-positioned left doesn't care about them as probably they are too hard to enlist in the race-class war
