Sanmina News may be shot in the arm for Jabil (see below). Zacks was carrying an earnings estimate of 0.66 for the quarter. Sanmina's earnings were 0.73(basic) & 0.63 (diluted) before NRI merger expenses of 0.10. 27% revenue growth. 23.7% increase in earnings. 0.5% increase in operating margins to 15.2%.

Looks like the ECM business continues to hum.

(Nasdaq: SANM) a leading electronics contract manufacturer, today reported sales and earnings for the first quarter ended December 27, 1997. Sanmina's results for the first quarter ended December 28, 1996 have been restated to give effect to Sanmina's merger with Elexsys International, Inc., which was completed in November 1997.
