How is the charge different from Ecar subsidies ? It is not.. I understand your point but you are up on your Libertarian heels :))

I am simply saying that if government is serious .. it needs to make choices.. We in Ontario pay some of the highest if not highest NA electricity rates.. why.. Subsidies for wind and solar... Part of the problem is that the government in usual know nothing fashion listening to lobby groups with own agendas.. jumped in.. both feet... because it is GREEN LOL

We should not be creating a bigger grid.. too much slippage... let renewables be more localised .. save existing grid for higher purpose :)) Sounding like a sermon LOL... as charging stations.. rebate those using and contributing to grid.. surcharge companies like the chargers.. eventually adoption brings down cost...

BTW existing power to homes already supplies 220v.. Not 3 phase though.. So to better understand is this really what is called split phase ? I know that when I installed my heated floor I opted for 220V and since no 110 circuits hung off the line only two hots were used.. No Neutral required.. It draws fewer amps.. All power the is coming from same source (transformer ??) So how does 3 phase 220 work.. I imagine 3 inputs .. not just coming from one input (transformer as my above example..but three separate ) and hence higher infrastructure cost..

At any rate we are mixing science with political ?? agendas.. although somehow I feel political is not the correct word here...
