Do Trump supporters worry that some of his character challenges (e.g. combative, impulsive, truth-challenged et al), will adversely affect the US in the near or short term? They see him as if he is a big hero in a movie like Superman or perhaps one of the old westerns where the hero comes out with guns blazing and everything ends up all sunshine and happy smiles with a girl on his arm. They see all the faults as very minimized to the idea that he is ‘shaking up the status quo’ and that is what needs to be done. Too them narrowminded folks, everyone is a jerk except Trump and he, (because he has money) is the pinnacle of manhood. ( never mind that he is now rated the biggest liar ever to be a politician or that he has so many cases of criminal behavior against him we are losing count). His cult members see his lies are a byproduct of him having to deal with other bigger liars in order to ‘git er done’. He is really a very fine man with high moral standards that has to stoop down to the level of these others and his supporters are willing to overlook that. ( I have had quite a few of his supporters tell me that I am mistaken, he has never lied, we just don’t understand what he says) The many cheats that he has done to his wives are only because he is a a very virile specimen of manhood and hey, he is a billionaire and president. His supporters will go to church on Sunday, pray that sin leaves the world, but only for ordinary people, not Donald, he is special….a god almost, so they over look that as well. In short, his supporters will justify, overlook or ignore everything that Trump does because like him, they have little compunction against lying to others, cheating on their spouses, judging anyone ‘not them’, as long as they will benefit in some way from those morally questionable actions. What they see is a strongman who is showing the rest of the world how its supposed to be because America is the best. (their own patriotic egos are bursting at the seams thinking of how Trump is ‘showing the world’) What most of us and the rest of the world sees, is a lying conman that would sell everyone out for his own self interest. We see him as a bigoted, egotistical bully with a bigger shoe size than an IQ. Will this affect the US? America has lost a lot of respect in the global community for electing such a morally bankrupt person.Trump is making America seem like no more than a streetcorner hooker who will sell her goodies (protection) to the highest bidder while the rest of the world can degenerate into chaos.The very strongmen that Trump is on his knees to, laugh at him as he tries to be like them but (the Emperor has No Clothes) and they know it.Because Trump is so inept at the job of POTUS, these very same leaders are playing Trump like the chump he is. Russia, China, N. Korea, all of them have benefited from Trumps idiocy.
