Notably absent are tweets or statements of support from former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama. The former president has tweeted twice since the allegations against Biden surfaced with neither offering any statement of support. Biden issued an apology video Wednesday afternoon though many of his staff blamed “right-wing trolls” and the Bernie Sanders campaign for beginning the news cycle about his behavior in the first place.
