Why would USA want to go around breaking ice in the Arctic? They do have Alaska so the Polar Star can probably deal with any ice-breaking needed there. But really, why not just wait until summer or when the purported Global Warming Greenhouse Effect has melted all the ice next year or 8 years ago or whenever it was?

Russia's whole coast line is ice bound in winter, other than the Black Sea and Crimea, so it's understandable they want to break some ice. Also, they are not so misled by the Global Warming hoax so are more keen on having ice-breakers.
