Mark Newman is their analyst. He worked for Samsung at one time, I don't know what capacity though. He has been fairly bearish on Micron near term for at least the last few months, probably longer. He has been right and he has been wrong about the stock and the sector at different times. Like all of us, lol. Except he gets paid a lot of money for his opinions, unlike threadsters here.

Ho OBL, I think there is truth to that view. A major part of the mobility chip slow down is 5G,either here now in the motorola version and due out in H2 for Samsung and 2020 for appl has pent up buyers from spending 1000 to buy a "top of the line" phone that will be antiquated in 6-12 months. I'm not that big a user of streaming data, but I do need to upgrade my S4 samsung. I'm waiting to see what kind of rebate I can get once the new Samsung version is compatible for both 3-5 G. I'd love to get the Samsung 10 for 500.00 (with out changing my phone plan). Being in this transition moment,has no doubt pent up demand for the next top of the line phone ,that also includes 5G. My bet is, this trough in demand WILL reverse upon the 5G phone ramp, if you can fight your way through the long lines of millenials queing the night before to get their "Totally fast new streaming phone". Bob
