Not necessarily, If you recall, the Kirchner's were popular and were the miners favorable choice until Cristina had to find ways to cover her corrupt activities. Also, the extra taxes on export she imposed on the miners are the same taxes that Macri just put back in place. Even though he reduced the corporate tax rate he scrapped the export credit scheme, that was beneficial to miners.

One could never tell. Kirchner may come back and say couple positive things about mining and then be judged entirely different.

To me copper prices is most important. I think if copper prices hits a certain dollar amount, probably around 3.75, it would alleviate the fears and make investors feel more secure.

You have to remember, Argentina experienced a mining explosion together with the Kirschner's in office and the economy in the middle of a default. It was also the time Hoch and Minera Andes signed on as partners at San Jose
