But he either deliberately appeals to base emotions or he is driven by them. Or both. And when you ignore the emotional content, there just isn't much else. Well, that's the most apt statement I've seen in a while. Right on! Which might be why he can't seem to come up with an argument that isn't based on fear, disgust, anger or other emotions. I would count that as another possibility, a hypothesis to test. Lost opportunity, there. he is insincere. FWIW, that was not my read. I might have come around to that in the end but it hadn't yet occurred to me.
