No. You completely miss the concept. I cannot explain it any other way.

It does not matter where it opens....the general concept is that of a one-way street. You seem to be confusing this with whatever happened the prior day. It is exclusive of the day before as well as the day after.

An SnP trader does not worry about premium stripping just direction.

If I thought there was a good chance of the market opening at the low, for example, and closing at the high...I would not care where the spoos are. I would buy the open and sell the close. If I were wrong and the market opened at the high and closed at the low then I would have been stopped out early and perhaps even reversed.

You are thinking to position yourself for tomorrow based on today for example. That is not what this will do for you.
