To all: THIS IS BIG!

The Intel/Microsoft/Compaq and RBOC announcement today regarding xDSL technology for PC's by Christmas 1998 is based on Aware's xDSL modems. Aware's stock increased by 27% on this news. These modems contain ADI's chipsets:

Look at the modems, modules, and chipsets links. They are all ADI chipsets.

ADI needs to get a news release out on this and claim it's share of the media attention.

Wow!! Check out the ADI home page - it is very impressive.

The IR section is the best I've ever seen. Check out the list of analysts, downloadable financial histories in XL format, and much more. I especially like the event notification function that sends you e-mail before important ADI dates. Looks like ADI is ready for the next century and beyond.

You might also want to check out their AD1819 SoundPort Codec at:

ADSL is hot but there is a lot of life left in 56Kb access. ADI has an audio/modem board that meets new MM standards set by Intel. NEC announced they're using it. Did 3COM drop TXN's 56K chip in favor of an ADI one or am I thinking of something else?

Anyone else think we should get a move up from the CommNet show?
