Craig-

xDSL service is offered now by SBC in my area. Cost is over $300 per month + ISP cost.

I was very surprised to find out that Pacbell gives some type pricing for ADSL when you call them up. I've been told the service for a 1.5M ADSL will be $70. There was no mention of the hardware cost, and how much this additional cost would be.
I still think with the hardware rental cost, and service cost, the total monthly cost will be from $90 to $100; if their $70 service price tag is really true.
