I have been trading with ETrade for almost 2 yrs and recently I have been especially happy with the service. For example, I was able to short GERN on 01/14/98. My trades have been executed and confirmed very quickly (in seconds). The biggest improvement: fast phone service. I rarely call with questions, but recently when I have called, the wait is only 5-10 minutes.

Yes, I think ETrade is maturing.

Thanks for the input M. carter...I feel that dealing with several discount brokerage firms allows you to be able to short just about any stock you choose, since one of them must have the shares available for you to short...Regards, Mark
