Interesting shopping list. How often do you need those items? About the only time I will buy multiple items would be for cleaners that will last for months and never go bad. Deodorant, toothpaste, etc. which lasts for a very long time per item, even using it daily.

I get points at the grocery store, plus additional points by completing the survey each week that gets me between 30 and 50 cents per gallon of gasoline at their station. Probably about what you get with Costco. I only drive an average of 350 miles a month, so gasoline isn't much of a factor in my expenses.

Nevertheless, your home made tomato soup is something I'd be interested in if you'd care to share that recipe. I haven't touched a whole potato in years since discovering the Idaho mashed potato packages. Cheap and delicious. Not sure where my old potato peeler is... LOL.
