That was my take that he wanted the departure to be official and not open to ridicule. Between nadler and waters, they have a couple of real boobs running meetings. Then waters asked the bank ceo's what they were doing to help out the student debt crisis - yep we all left that business when government took over. What a ship of fools

He was under the impression that it was an official meeting, you are dismissed, bang the gavel. Like a board meeting - motion to adjourn; all in favor aye, all apposed nay; motion carries, bang the gavel.....meeting adjourned type stuff. I would think the same if involved in a House hearing.
