Companies' legal departments

Sandie,

You're welcome! I am glad you find it useful :-)

Found the following on a y2k legal site. What do you think, it must be a joke, or what!? If true, it would be really sick, I think. But I guess it is just a joke/rumour.

'Millennium Bomb Lawsuits

Posted by Jason Bratton on January 07, 1998 at 17:02:57:

I recently read that an expert on the millennium bomb problem has been passing anonymous allegations about companies refusing to spend the money needed to fix systems to the companies' legal departments. This would make it difficult for them to claim ignorance in the event of problems. Is it really necessary to go around doing such things. In the case of a law suit being filed for damages it would be hard for the company to claim ignorance of the millennium bomb threat anyway given all the coverage it has recieved in the media and all the hype and predictions of gloom if the problem is not resolved.
