It's not a rumour at all. The millennium expert in question is De Jager, and the actions described are part of his "Project Damocles". Check out year2000.com. The idea that everyone already knows about the dire consequences of y2k is certainly false for embedded systems, as we know. I believe De Jager's Project Damocles is for embedded systems only. Wade
