Of course, we can never know what is really going on in China, but they are reporting some decent numbers for their Q1 GDP. If their stimulus perks up their economy and we get a resolution of the trade and tariff issues, then the second half expectations of a revival of the tech markets look probable to me. You think that there is too much capacity, but the major players have all exercised prudence in pulling in their capacity build plans. I know you (Elroy) believe that it is inevitable that someone will cheat and then they all will, but we'll see. Personally, I am cautiously optimistic.

Key Points
  • China said on Wednesday its economy expanded by 6.4 percent in the first quarter of 2019.
  • Analysts polled by Reuters expect Beijing to announce that its economy grew by 6.3 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2019.

China on Wednesday released a slew of official economic data that beat expectations, including the widely anticipated gross domestic product figure.

Beijing said its economy expanded by 6.4 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2019, topping the 6.3 percent that analysts polled by Reuters had expected. China grew by 6.4 percent year-on-year in the fourth quarter of last year, and 6.8 percent in the first quarter of 2018.

Other data released include Chinese industrial production for March, which increased by 8.5 percent year-on-year — much higher than the 5.9 percent estimated by Reuters.

The country’s official data for March retail sales also beat expectations. The figure grew by 8.7 percent last month from the same period a year ago, beating Reuters’ projection of 8.4 percent.

[p.s. Yeah, you were banned for that reason plus you were getting into some fights with others. I don't mind talking about SIMO a little, I just don't want it to take over the board, there is a SIMO board for that. And I don't want the discussion to get personal either. If you avoid those things, you are of course welcome to post here.]
