Thanks RT.............I accept!!!

Yes, this Super Bowl ad was news to me! Although I wonder if VVUS was really serious about spending $1.3 million for 60 seconds. However, I'm glad that they are serious about their advertising.

Just a note for all who follow my infrequent posts. I recently changed Wall ST. houses where I work and due to work constraints I will be posting even less for the next few weeks. If any of you ( and you know who you are) need to reach me please e-mail me and I will give you my new work number, By the way script data come out today for the week ending 1/9 and total scripts were up 10.9%. The exact breakdown is at my office.

Good Luck to ALL,

DB

PS. David C. thanks for the "support".

RT, your prediction of national attention for NOT airing the VVUS spot is in motion; this from WSJ on-line. I still can't help but wonder what NBC would have said, for example, to a proposed Viagra ad by a J. Walter Thompson or someone with a half-dozen clients in the Super Bowl already.Nike is running a spot in the game with pro atheletes filmed in the buff. What's next? <g> Hey, media, we got a timely under-dog story here with one foot in the bed room, no violence...(I'm talking about Muse, not Denver)(I will talk Denver and 6 however <g>)

Vivus Says NBC Won't Run Ad
During Super Bowl For Muse
Pdt

Dow Jones Newswires

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Vivus Inc. (VVUS) said
General Electric Co.'s (GE) NBC declined to run an
advertisement for its Muse impotence treatment during
the Super Bowl, citing subject matter.

In a press release Tuesday, the company said it will
launch a direct-to-consumer advertising campaign in the
coming weeks, and will air the television ad on other
networks in February.

Vivus develops erectile dysfunction therapeutic treatment
systems.

NBC officials weren't immediately available for
comment.

An NBC spokeswoman Tuesday said the network's
advertisement standards department reviewed both the
general concept and the specific content of Vivus Inc.'s
impotence ad, and isn't comfortable airing the
commercial at this time.
