Yours makes the error in assumption that the field of actors in conflict consists of Trump (et al) on one side, and Russians (et al) on the other... as if Democrats are a collection of inert objects arrayed between them suffering the slings and arrows. Alas... not the case. Perhaps you could slip the Democrats quite easily into the (et al) on the Russians side without much effort... but that would be giving to the Russians far to much and to the Democrats far too little... The other answer, that one of which no person seems willing yet to speak its name... Is that Trump couldn't have obstructed justice... if what was being done was not justice. And there lies truth.
