It's interesting that Enderle believes Apple is behind lobbying against Huawei in the west; notably Qualcomm's tone toward Huawei is softening since the settlement:

Qualcomm does need cooperation from infrastructure if it's to sell its 5G handset implementations, and Huawei's greater strength is in its networking equipment despite its recent ascendency in handsets.

Especially since USA and Canada have kidnapped Huawei's founder's daughter. China, in particular, is not known for feeling warm and fuzzy about this stuff. Were I Tim Cook, I'd likely avoid China for a short while -- like the rest of his life.
