BRK is still cheap, as you well know. Unfortunately, my love affair with these equip stocks precluded purchasing more BRK for now.The q report will be important for BRK: the bonds bought in Aug may be sold. If he holds them past 1 more q, I'll be shocked.In '87 he held for 3 quarters.

I hope your timing with the AMAT purchase works out ok. As you know, I felt the evidence for another turn became compelling last week, so I'm finished buying. Evidence is piling higher this week, but little reaction. The extremes hit in late August and September took awhile to turn also. Only 2 things left to worry about now are big: chip supply vs. demand, and the Japanese equip purchase plans. Regardless of what happens in the next 6-9 months, these shares should be held now through the year 2000.
