DOW JONES Brief:

Osicom Tech Up Another 10%; Pdt Enthusiasm Continues

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Osicom Technologies Inc. (FIBR) shares added another 10%, likely on continued enthusiasm surrounding its NET+ARM networking chip.
NET+ARM combines hardware and software subsystems on a single chip that allows printers and other noncomputer equipment to link up to networks like the Internet.
NET+ARM was released earlier this month.
Joe Gladue, who covers the stock for Chapman Co., said there was no specific news pushing the stock higher. Instead, he said factors that have helped the stock higher recently remain in focus. Namely, the stock's low valuation relative to its peers, and a handful of new products that could add to top-line growth.
Officials at the Santa Monica, Calif., concern weren't immediately available.
Shares of Osicom were recently up 9/16 at 5 11/32 on Nasdaq volume of 1.8 million shares, compared with average daily turnover of 482,300.

Positive Press....

>>>Another postive commentary from Dow Jones went out on the wires just after the close about Osicom and it's price appreciation. Talked about the Net ARm chip and Joe Gladhue gave it a nice little spin that the shares are undervalued....etc

Most importantly, it's interesting to note that it appears to me that Dow Jones is speaking of Osicom favorably for a change since Osicom decided to sue them for their article that appeared in their Barron's publication. I wonder if they are getting a little scared?<<<

David:

I've seen Barron's continually do hatchet jobs on comapnies... I believe that Osicom has a good case against Dow Jones... I still remember the "Heard On The Street" scandal of about 6-7 years ago, involving alleged improprieties by some reporters... All of this will probably come out in the Libel trial brought by Osicom...

A very impressive day today... We cleared away that 1995 resistance... Our next battle should be in the 7.00 area...
