I've also recently read where Disney is actually going through upcoming films from 20th Century Fox (which they recently purchased) and looking to remove smoking and drinking. Speilberg is supposedly in production on a remake of West Side Story (which I fully am apposed to) but that aside, Disney is looking to cut out shots of teens smoking on the streets of NY. I agree with some of the twitter comments in this article. Pretending a past doesn't exist is just as bad as perpetuating it. Because both lead to it happening again and again. WHat's next, Gone with the Wind, re-edited to exclude any mention of slavery?
