If you have followed any stock, you will note that analyst discount one time charges out of earnings. This is the case in ALL stocks, ctxs is not different. The charge off is for an acquisition of a reseller in Europe.

Roger: What is your take with ctxs over the next couple of quarters, I am starting to get the itch to lighten my load. Also, whats up with broc.

You're reading it wrong. This is a write down of acquired development costs, a non-factor which is excluded from EPS calculations. CTXS beat the mean and high estimates, period.
