IntraComp Group to Provide Year 2000 Conversion for Kentucky Utilities
Using MatriDigm Technology

- Utility Company Prepares for Year 2000 through Contract for Software
Conversion -

San Jose, CA (January 20, 1998) - IntraComp Group and MatriDigm
Corporation today announced that Kentucky Utilities, a leading provider
of electrical service in Lexington Kentucky and surrounding areas, has
contracted IntraComp Group to provide Year 2000 software conversion
services. Under a Technology Associate Agreement with MatriDigm
Corporation, IntraComp will utilize MatriDigm's services to complete the
project.

In addition to the code renovation, IntraComp will provide Kentucky
Utilities with project management, testing, implementation and warranty
support. The contract between Kentucky Utilities and IntraComp Group
encompasses Kentucky Utilities' Customer Information System. The system
is used to track customer profiles and bill electricity usage for
Kentucky Utilities' service area that includes 470,000 customers in 77
Kentucky counties and 5 Virgina counties.

"As awareness of the year 2000 problem continues to grow, IntraComp is
proud to have been selected to provide Kentucky Utilities with a proven
solution to address this time-sensitive issue," said Robert Ruetz,
President of IntraComp Group. "By using MatriDigm's automated process,
we will be able to renovate the large volume of COBOL code quickly."

MatriDigm Advanced Process 2000 (MAP2000SM), MatriDigm's highly
automated analysis, renovation and testing solution, will be used by
IntraComp to convert the COBOL portions of Kentucky Utility's system.
"We are pleased to work with experienced consulting companies like
IntraComp on the Year 2000 problem," commented Bill Esping, President of
MatriDigm Corporation. "As one of our Qualified Technology Associates,
IntraComp can demonstrate the quality of our accurate automated solution
and the urgency of addressing the Year 2000 problem."

IntraComp is a consulting company specializing in technology transfer
projects including: platform conversions, operating system migrations,
database conversion (hierarchical/network to relational) and Year 2000
compliance.

MAP2000 is a complete analysis, renovation and testing solution that
begins at the customer site where MICOS - MatriDigm's proprietary code
preparation system - packages work units to be sent to the MatriDigm
code renovation facility in San Jose. During renovation, MAP2000
analyzes the code, identifies date-related fields using a rules-based
automated process, modifies the dates with a windowing date format, and
performs extensive unit testing on modifications to the code. The
renovated code is returned to the MatriDigm Technology Associate or
customer ready for acceptance testing.
