[ComNet] theBeach -- Thanks for the kind words. In reading the posts wondering whether Ascend will continue to rise or drop tomorrow, I wonder how many have considered what affect ComNet will have on the networkers next week. Besides the usual media attention, the consortium led by CPQ, MSFT & INTC plan to make a major announcement regarding DSL. This can't hurt Ascend or any of the major players. An aside: CPQ is known as a PC maker, but a friend in the field (DSL sales in GTE territory) says their servers are selling like hotcakes. It should be interesting to see if they're reflected in earnings. Having visited GTE's Redmond ADSL trials, I can attest to CPQ's presence there. At any rate, I wouldn't want to be short Ascend going into ComNet next week. Cheers! Pat
