Winchester Update - Global Media

With respect to the comments and enquiries of those connected to Winchester Mining (Winchester), Global Media Corporation Canada would like to clarify it's position in this matter.

Between September 15, 1997 and November 12, 1997, Global Media Corporation Canada (Global Media), a privately held B.C. Corporation, was retained by Winchester Mining to act as it's agent for media services. While we always endeavour to provide complete and accurate information, Global Media is ultimately not responsible for the validity of information provided by its clients. Verification of such is the responsibility of the enquirer.

Global Media severed its relationship with Winchester when substantiating documents regarding Winchesters' press releases and other information was not forwarded to us. We refused to work with Winchester on the basis that Global Media could not, in good conscience, continue to provide information which did not have documented support.

Currently, our contact at Winchester, the company's president, Mr. Ed Gibbons still has not returned our calls, faxes or emails, and consequently, we have no further information to pass on.

Global Media disseminated information as provided by Winchester and at no time knowingly gave out false information. Global Media is currently consulting with its lawyers regarding potential legal action against Winchester. Global Media would like to caution the investment community regarding the accuracy of information being distributed by Winchesters' other public relations firm.

Global Media has tried to act responsibly towards the people who have enquired as to the current status of Winchester and it's limestone deal, of which we have never seen a signed contract. Furthermore, the company which Winchester privately claimed to be negotiating with to acquire the limestone, Pacific Rim Information systems (PacRim), has confirmed that it is not involved in any such negotiations.

To our knowledge, PacRim (OTC:BB PAKR) is the only company in the Pacific North West with the rights to undeveloped properties with limestone deposits in excess of 9 billion tons. Global Media has been retained by PacRim to act as its agent for media services. Global Media has completed extensive due diligence on PacRim and is proud to represent this exciting investment opportunity to the financial community. Further to its limestone deposits (of which Global Media has seen the leases and assay results), PacRim is pursuing gold mining projects on Texada island in British Columbia Canada as well as in Guyana in South America.

To find out more about PacRim, please call 1-888-479-4035. Please be advised that our representatives will not be able to provide any information regarding Winchester.
