Do you think the Japanes have forgiven the US? Maybe
they have a payback in mind.

The Japanese Prime Minister, Ryutaro Hashimoto, has given his pledge that Japan would not do anything to cause disruption in the economy and markets of the world. Let's hope he keeps his word.

BTW, let me take this opportunity to thank you for the reco you gave me on the GOLD XAU thread. You know, it is sometimes impossible for one to buy everything. Besides the commish one has to pay can add up to quite a lot.

Ben,
I can't say that and, if that was the psche(?) at any time, given Asia's implosion, I would think that thinking might change, but I do think it's very important to recognize where Japan is at this point in time, and it isn't pretty. The great arguments I have seen have to do with the creation of excess capacity based on debt, and, while it isn't only Japan that's in that boat, Japan is the biggest player on the brink without external excuses. I know the words here are somewhat unclear, but it isn't time yet to make accusations.
