Linda, I don't have any more insight than you.
I am simply trying to put fit the pieces of this puzzle together. I am convinced of one thing though, namely that 1998 is the decisive year for Fonar.

They finally have enough cash to go and sell&service their machines properly. If they focus on the bottom line, put together a good marketing campaign, then I believe they can do it. Furthermore this has to be an agressive effort with the continual involvment of Dr. D.

The reason I bought Fonar is because of the GE cash and my conviction that this company has a great story to tell. After all Dr. D is arguably the father of MRI and has been a prolific inventor. This should be a marketable item and gain considerable mind share if packaged properly in a Fonar "vision". The hurdle to overcome is convincing the market that Fonar is a long term player (easier now with cash) and putting together an excellent service package. Basically they have to sell as hard as possible to replace their old installed base and gain new market share.

What has been frustrating to me is a sense of losing momentum from the GE settlement and the RSNA splash. I would have thought that we would have heard more from this company in the last 3 months.

Anyway, I didn't mean Dr.D could have an accident, thats excessively morbid. What I was alluding to is that he is not a young man and he too will want to slow down eventually (pass the torch etc.). Perhaps he has the energy to continue another 5 years, lets hope so.

Who else is involved on the R&D side and who are the strategic employees is something that would be good to find out.
