There is some weird stuff going on. Some people had access to the "breaking" news early this morning, while the rest of us scoured the internet with no luck. I might sound paranoid, but somebody had to do some buying (ahem, covering) before it was officially released to the street. If Fox is right, then my guess is that Lehman was shorting against the box and was in the midst of covering this morning. Why else would they wait until the near future to issue a good report? (Does anyone know if there are any public records on shareholders who short against the box?) The underwriters wanted this stock to take a beating, and they made a bundle. Now they're going to give it some real support now that there is "proof" this toothpaste enhances remineralization and retailers have committed to orders. Timing is everything, isn't it?
