PR Newswire, Tuesday, January 20, 1998 at 17:40 Comprehensive US Program for Business Partners Plays Key Role in Borland's Information Network Strategy I will not pretend to know whether what is offered in this news release is the absolute correct strategy for Borland to apply at this time. However, from an investor's perspective, I really like this and the other announcements that preceded it recently. It looks as if Borland is laying the groundwork with this string of announcements to lead up to its earnings release (which hopefully will occur on Thursday since it wasn't made today) and perhaps the earnings release of Visigenic and more word on the merger. I suspect that all of this is designed to provide a platform for the coming conference call. These actions are certainly positive and if they are followed with earnings of at least 6 cents per share and good news from Visigenic, then this stock could explode towards the end of the week. The charts look good and so do the fundamentals apparently. Here's hoping for a banner week. Sam
