Funny how the so called great negotiator got played by China: it is the old bait and switch. Trump thought he had the deal in the bag until China changed the terms the last minute. My guess is that China may give back a little bit to finalize a deal. I don't think they care whether a deal comes to pass. What will Trump do after he uses all his ammo on tariffs. Increase the tariffs to 50%. I doubt Trump gets elected without a trade deal with China so he may have to bite the bullet and compromise. Prosecutors do that all the time: they offer deals and then pull them off the table. Chinese are pros at that.
