Trump was referring to the "regular" protesters on both sides for and against taking down the statue,
NOT the extreme Left- and Right- wing people of violence.
it is obvious.
Notice how the Right are not using that speech to cry that Trump is pro- extreme and violent Left Antifa.
It is only the Left that cry because Trump said BOTH sides .. including Right.
Trump was not referring to the extremists there .. only the regular protesters.
I agree with you, hate-speech should not be protected by First Amendment.
But it has to be equally applied to the Right and the Left.
