It seems to me that this whole high bandwidth issue represents a major moneymaking opportunities for many companies and hopefully many of us. I think that the key is trying to figure it all out. Just when I thought I had stumbled upon the clear cut winner (@home) I know find out that there are all these new competitors for this market. This was very depressing because I actually believed I was onto something that most people hadn't yet figured out. Should have known this was too good to be true. There will be winners and losers. Just need the knowledge to try to figure this out and to try to pick the winners before everyone else does.

e.g. the article in wired referrred to DSLAM's. Is this some type of equipment? If so, who makes it. Hadn't even heard of AWARE but will check them out next. Their stock is up 3+ today. Should we maybe consider starting a thread to discuss all these issues with no bias toward any particular company? I know this would help me alot and probably many others also. I feel that everything is probably being discussed but in many threads all over SI. Or could someone come up with a list of the companies who we should be following as this whole thing gets bigger. Anyway, just looking to expand my knowledge so I can make informed decisions about where I invest my money.

Just one more thing I was thinking about. It seems as if AT&T stands to lose (or should I say simply not gain) if this DSL thing takes off. Don't the Baby Bell's own the lines coming into our homes? If so, an investment or alliance w/@home makes total sense. Otherwise how will they participate in this? They certainly aren't going to sit back and let everyone else but them participate..IMHO.

In what way is it misleading?
