I normally upgrade to a new top of the line phone every couple of years. My Samsung Note 8 is so nice that I am uncertain I will upgrade this coming fall.

Bottom line is that unless 5G requires a new phone to take full advantage of the upgrade in speed it could be a while before I buy into the next generation of phones.

That kind of thinking might be the same for a lot of consumers.

Or it might just be me?
