Maple Leaf:

What target price do you have on NNC by June?

If you want to buy the calls then chose the strike price which will give you the largest percentage gain. Rolling down to the June 40's will cost you double commission plus you will lose on the spread going in and out. This is an expensive plan.

As you are aware, NNC is a very volatile stock. If you have limited experience with options I suggest you start with a less risky stock such as BCE or one of the banks.

The short-term trend on NNC is down - you are breaking a rule by playing the long side.

The chart of BCE will tell which way the trend is going. Don't try to make a killing on options when you first start off - you will be sure to lose.
