I think its good business sense though.
"Good business sense" heavily favors liberalism.

Ask yourself which ideas get you sponsorships from Pepsi and Nike, and which ideas get you fired from your job.

Ask yourself what kind of tweets are accepted by the NYTimes, and what kind of tweets get your sitcom taken away from you.

Ask yourself whether Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. are run by liberals or conservatives.

For you to defend something based on "good business sense" only means you are defending the left-wing status quo.

And in case you still have any doubts, here's MSNPC deciding that it's "good business sense" to keep Chris Matthews around, even though he kept blatantly asking racist questions to a black woman:
