I'm old enough to remember all that too, except the part about how global cooling was supposed to put Miami and L.A. into the ocean. The wiki article on it says that while it was hyped in the press at the time, the scientific consensus even then was for global warming ... en.wikipedia.org As for changes from 20 years ago, I don't recall hearing much about sunny day flooding back then, or planes not being able to take off in Phoenix, or fire tornadoes in California ... businessinsider.com wired.com time.com As for corporations and jobs, seems to me if they were willing to give poor- and middle- class people something more than mcjobs there'd be a good deal less anger and resentment in societies worldwide. But don't worry about getting banned around here ... we haven't seen the moderator in years. <g>
