Electric,

I just checked the charts on most of the indexs and they are severely overbought on a short-term basis. They should come down very soon. IBM is also overbought. For IBM to become a CLASS 1 BUY it needs to drop even further, that is not to say that it cant turn around before CLASS 1 or 2 status.

With IBM, being down 4 cents does not sound that much but what was said in the conference call if there was one tonight. If there was something to do with ASIA more than expected, that may have attributed to a bigger drop.

Surprisingly, IBM follows or moves the DOW more than it does the HiTechers, as I have seen in the past. But would think if it has something to do with ASIA, hinting of forthcoming quarters that could hurt.

As for MSFT, not so sure of IBM's impact.
