One of the difficulties apparent today... is that a lot of people don't understand that there are quite a lot of interests out there, and participants, who are focused on power, rather than wealth independent of power... Those interests might not be focused, as we're led to believe they must be, on "growing the pie"... Instead, they're focused on sustaining and growing their own portion... whether or not the pie itself grows. Power doesn't expand and shrink with the pie, quite so much... so its the division that matters to them. The extreme in the news this week... Bezos wanting to ship the minions off into space to live in tubes... so he can enjoy his planet more without them crowding him...
