Justin Trudeau is certainly gaining experience in pragmatic politics. This is to be expected, as he was too young and inexperienced when he took the office - no matter how much he had "learned" from his father.

One of my problems with him is that he is (has been) too weak and malleable. That may be changing with experience and he might actually become good at it (realistically, to be good at anything take a minimum of 10 years of practice - and politics is not different).

My other problem with him is that he is way too liberal for my liking - even by the Liberal Party's standards. I am not sure that part can be cured easily. But failure has a way of making people self reflect...so who knows.

Canada in general - or at least the GTA where I live - is too liberal and too politically correct. It gets in the way of honest communication and discussion of issues. Even the Bluest states in the US (NY and CA) look conservative compared to here.
