Greg, I don't currently have an answer to your question. I'm very new to xDSL. I have used PAIR for the last couple of years for HDSL and I think their PGFLEX product will do well this year. I also think Adtran is a well managed company for the continued play on HDSL.

I personally believe 1999 will be a year of field trials at the RBOCS for xDSL technologies. I believe it will take the RBOCs till the year 2000 or beyond to ready the central office for production deployment of xDSL. I don't have a handle on the relative design attributes of the various xDSL chip sets. I know from following PAIR that their Falcon chip set is progressing for late 98 deployment. However, PAIR thinks this market is still at least 18 months away.
