Mark,

The game ain't over til the Fat lady sings.

Here is some good news for you.

After the close, IBM did not meet earnings estimate and sees lower 1Q earnings.

We might see a gap down tomorrow in the tech market.

steve

Mark:
I think you should wait more than 2 days even if NASDAQ finish over 1600. There will DEFINITELY be profit taking after more than 1 week of straight up days. You can always look to get out during those shake down periods. I'm quite optimistic that shorts should be able to cover most of their positions with a profit in the coming weeks.
Also, dont forget that we are experiencing this 'rally' partially due to earning reports. Today is IBM, tomorrow is MSFT, we might very well break 1600 tomorrow, which I will use to exit all my long positions. Next week will be pretty much back to 1500s, with Asian markets due for a profit taking. I can already see them happening already. Look at some of the Asian markets turning red, soon enough it should spread to all of them, just sit back and reap in the $$$ by then :)

Regards

And wash and wax my car, and do my vacuuming and laundry ... I guess that will suffice.

Still watching DAVX, waiting for some action. Theoretically it looks like good upside there when it's ready. Earnings due on Mon. It's holding at support.

Watching BCOM - earnings today (met estimates) and it sold on the news. the report was overall pretty good and I would expect some upside soon, but it may have to settle a little first - who knows.

Bought IOM today and will hold until Thurs. (earnings Thurs. night).

Bought AWRE at 14 and sold at 14. I always feel uncomfortable being in companies that still have no positive earnings and won't in the near future. So when it didn't quickly continue its climb after I bought, I said goodbye.

Mark, I have no positions right now. I am all cash literally. Notice I called it a 'blessing'? I still think this rally is b.s. but who the hell knows anymore. Im just picking at stocks now, but im going to put tight stop losses no matter how many times I get taken out.

FORE will still be good for trading tomorrow I think, lots of volume and large swings especially if the tech sector gets hit at the open, people will buy FORE under $17 like mad.. ill probably bet on that opinion.

I agree that the markets are heading South from here for whatver its worth.. I just cant see us staying above 8000 anytime soon, but this market seems to defy all rational thinking..

What the heck happened to AMES? What am I missing?!
