We simply have no idea how much sea level will rise in the next 80 years. There is no credible evidence on which to base any projections. But if it does rise by 2', that's manageable.

The picture below is of Las Vegas 70 years ago. I post it as an example of what can be done in 70 years. I'm sure you're familiar with modern-day Las Vegas and Henderson county.

One key element, IMO, is to phase out government backed insurance for beach property, which removes the incentive to behave reasonably around the water's edge. One of my customers just bought a huge beach house one of these areas, which will undoubtedly be fun for their family. But who is financing the insurance? Those of us who lack second beach houses, for sure.

This is not even a problem that is top ten in terms of its crisis value.
