Pass me a cold one from that 6PACK Joe, tommorow is going
to kick some serious butt - only way to damper it now is
if Asia has a bad hair day. As for Xilinx, after hours
was up to 39 1/2, more often that not the next day follows
through. Breaking 40 is certainty(90% chance), closing above 40,
I give it a 60% chance.

Here's to you Joe! \ /

6Pack,

Missed the pre-annoucement about flat quarter.

One analyst gave the CEO hard time about when XLNX's growth would not be flat. Analyst's viewpoint was a myopic two year window. He mentioned all the rosy forecasts and the 1% growth results in the past quarters. CEO said with the broadening of the product line he foresees 40% growth in the future.

Do you think that IBM's results could affect tech market in a negative fashion?

Asian crisis dispelled but CC was very somber about growth prospects in the 1h98. They did not see pick up til 2h98.

I hope it hits 40, but I see drawback to 35 again.

It appears that Altera's bad news has affected XLNX again today.

Altera missed earnings by a penny: estimate .39, actual .38 fully diluted. Again some confusion in the market with the new earnings numbers. Two days that XLNX gapped down. Will we see 33/34 tommorrow?

What is your read on the last two days action?
