Good Morning Margaret,

The clock this morning woke me up an hour earlier then it should so here I am sitting at the computer at 5 minutes to 5am. Hope you had a good night's sleep.

Yesterday while the market was enjoying a very good day one of the analyst from Merrill Lynch had tried to throw water on the fire. You wonder why the public is so annoyed and very suspicious of the types of integrity brokerage houses sometimes display. This is an obvious case in point of deliberate securities manipulations:

* Merrill Lynch said on Tuesday analyst Lucy Painter lowered her earnings estimates on shares of COMPAQ COMPUTER CORP, MICROSOFT
and DELL COMPUTER. Microsoft fiscal 1998 earnings estimate lowered to $3.31 per share from $3.42 per share and 1999 estimate cut to
$4.30 per share from $4.55 per share, firm said. Fiscal 1999 earnings estimate on Dell Computer cut to $3.50 per share from
$3.60 per share and calendar 1998 estimate lowered to $3.38 per share from $3.48 per share. (Reuters 09:59 AM ET 01/20/98)

Why does not the justice department go after people like this??

Hope you have a nice day
Warm Regards
Frank
