Jim, re:<AMD ads>

Although there's more advertising for AMD systems in mainline computer stores, I've noticed a slight decrease in AMD K6 ads in last week's San Diego ComputorEdge magazine (This is a free 80 page "screwdriver shop" oriented computer shopper.) One reason for this is AGP motherboards are still not widely available for socket 7 - in fact only two of about 40 retailers has the FIC PA-2012. A lot of the hobbyist types want to be the first on their block with an AGP graphics board, whether it works any better or not.

However, still many more K6 ads than two or three months ago. Believe it or not, its still difficult to buy a K6 on Friday or Saturday because the supply comes in on Monday.
