re NWL - I think this is a tough one. I believe the brands have lost and will lose considerable brand equity, similar to the KHC situation, which translates into lower pricing power. It appears to be a secular trend that many consumer products are getting commoditized. I believe in 5-10 years, one of the most important brands will be “Amazon Essentials”, besides Kirkland ( Costco).

Nestle for example has this problem too, but they managed to escape this, buy actually trying to improve their products. They have a goal that each new product is preferred by 80% of the customer in blind tests. That’s very different from just marketing spiels or putting an old product into a new packaging format like many peers are doing.
